How long will it take for me, to live out the truth of…”Christian”?
“Christian” is a name of Honor and Truth.
“Christian” is a name of Morality and Virtue.
“Christian” is a name of Submission and Self-sacrifice.
I struggle as our Forefathers against my own will, my own plans, my own hopes. 4000 years of shortcomings to bestow upon the One…of grace and mercy, suffering and sacrifice.
Isaiah 52:13 – 15
“See, my servant will act wisely, he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him-his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness-so will he sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.”
Do I honor the One who suffers my wickedness…my sins?
Do I understand the width, breadth and depth of His suffering?
Each sin I create today…
Each weakness that I give in to…
Each moment not lived in the name of “Christian” is an act against itself, setting up in the minds, and hearts of the world an improper definition.
John 6:28, 29
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
I plead with God, to not let me be the Judas among my brothers.
Yet, daily…I conciously choose not to surrender, not to sacrifice. And daily…I am an act of Judas against all that calls me and all that lives within me.
God, forgive me and increase my faith.
God, forgive me and render me unto you.
God, forgive me and use me, for I am your servant, your slave.
Isaiah 41:8-10
“But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
And Jesus came as the Truth of God.
He came, of the Way to live.
He came, so that I may have life in and beyond this life.
To Him be all the Glory, the Honor and the Praise.
